When running the stock side exhaust without a deflector, all of the exhaust oil and crud gets all over the body, brake disc, and rear left tire. That makes the jato handle worse because of the rear tire has less traction and has less powerful brakes.
There are two solutions to this.
You can buy a long exhaust deflector to carry the exhaust away from the jato and another Is to mount a rear exhaust.
I will show you how to use a rear exhaust by using the pictures from Jatomann(from the traxxas forum)
1. Start of by taking off the header and point it toward the rear.
2. You can buy a revo brake linkage and use that as a hanger to keep the exhaust stable.
